HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 617-05 rW RESOLUTION WHEREAS; the Job Opportunity Building Zone (JOBZ) Program, created in Minnesota Session Laws 2003, 1st Special Session, Chapter 21,.Article 1', allows for the formation of tax free zones. WHEREAS; the City of Rochester Common Council, the Olmsted County Board of Commissionerand the School Board of ISD 535 have previously approved resolutions supportive of the creation of JOBZ zone upon certain lands within the City of Rochester. WHEREAS; the JOBZ program provides for a zone modification process, which requires resolutions from the city, county and school district when exchanging acres from a current JOBZ location to parcels outside of an existing JOBZ zone. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Rochester Common Council hereby supports the JOBZ zone modification to transfer 0.80 acres from a part of Lot 3, Block 1, Rochester Technology Park 4th Subdivision in Subzone # 2 to 0.80 acres of land located in a part of the E1/2, NW '/4, Section 9, Township 107 North, Range 14 West described as follows: Commencing at the SE corner of said NW Y4, 1005.14 to the North line of Jensen's 1st •Subdivision, thence continuing North along said east line 320 feet to the point of beginning; thence Southwesterly 483.11 feet to the Easterly R.O.W. line of T.H. 52, thence Northwesterly 118.43 feet; thence Northeasterly 25 feet; thence Northwesterly 445.08 feet to the South line of Stuve's 2nd Subdivision; thence Northeasterly along said Southline a distance of 517.37 feet to the East line of said NW %; thence South along said East line 593.04 feet to the point of beginning; less that part shown as Parcel 532 H on MnDOT R.O.W.
