RESOLUTION
Awarding Contract: Mayo Civic Center Marquee and Park Upgrades
WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the Mayo Civic Center Marquee and
Park Upgrades, the following bids were received complying with the advertisement including
the two bid alternates:
Pember Companies, Inc.: $286,405
Urban Companies: $429,000
Shoreline Landscaping: $441,346; and
WHEREAS, it appears that Pember is the lowest responsible bidder.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of Rochester
to award a contract to Pember Companies, Inc. in the amount of $274,750 for Mayo Civic
Center Marquee and Park Upgrades in support of the base bid and alternate 2 supporting
the larger marquee sign.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk is directed to return to all bidders the
deposits made with their bids, except the deposits of the successful bidder and the next
lowest bidder, which shall be retained until the contract has been executed.
