RESOLUTION
Awarding Contract for Project No. J2201 2026 Pavement Maintenance – Early Crack
Seal.
WHEREAS, pursuant to a request for quotes for the following improvement(s): Project No.
J2201 2026 Pavement Maintenance – Early Crack Seal, the following quotes were
received complying with the advertisement:
Asphalt Surface Technologies Corp. $117,500
Fahrner Asphalt Sealers, LLC - Eau Claire $187,500
Allied Blacktop Company $270,000; and
WHEREAS, it appears that Asphalt Surface Technologies Corp. is the lowest responsive
and responsible to quote.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of Rochester,
Minnesota, that the quote of $117,500 is hereby accepted and execution of the standard City
contract for construction with Asphalt Surface Technologies Corp. is authorized for the
following approved local improvements: Project No. J2201 2026 Pavement Maintenance
– Early Crack Seal; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk is directed to return to all parties submitting
quotes the deposits made with their quotes, except the deposits of the successful quote and
the next lowest quote, which shall be retained until the contract has been executed; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the contractor quoting shall execute all contracts within
ten days after the contract is ready for their signature, and if not executed by them in said
time, they shall be deemed to have abandoned the same.
