RESOLUTION
Awarding Contract for Project No. J8707 - Link Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) Drivers
Facilities and Public Restrooms.
WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the following improvement(s): Project
No. J8707 - Link Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) Drivers Facilities and Public Restrooms the
following bids were received complying with the advertisement:
Brennan Construction of Mn $2,030,000.00
H+U Construction $3,240,836.00
WHEREAS, it appears that Brennan Construction of MN is the lowest responsive and
responsible bidder.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of Rochester,
Minnesota, that the bid of $2,030,000.00is hereby accepted and execution of the standard
City contract for construction with Brennan Construction of MN, is authorized for the
following approved local improvements: Project No. J8707 - Link Bus Rapid Transit (BRT)
Drivers Facilities and Public Restrooms; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk is directed to return to all bidders the
deposits made with their bids, except the deposits of the successful bidder and the next
lowest bidder, which shall be retained until the contract has been executed; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the bidder shall execute all contracts within ten days
after the contract is ready for their signature, and if not executed by them in said time, they
shall be deemed to have abandoned the same.
