RESOLUTION
Awarding Contract for Project No. J6745 \[Prairie Vista Dr NW Drainage
Improvements\]
WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the following improvement(s): Project
No. J6745 \[Prairie Vista Dr NW Drainage Improvements\] the following bids were
received complying with the advertisement:
Bidders Total
Kats Excavating, LLC $71,738.96
Evans Companies $103,508.46
WHEREAS it appears that Kats Excavating, LLC is the lowest responsive and responsible
bidder.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of Rochester,
Minnesota, that the bid of is hereby accepted and execution of the standard City contract
for construction with Kats Excavating LLC is authorized for the following approved local
improvements: Project No. J6745 Prairie Vista Dr NW Drainage Improvements and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk is directed to return to all bidders the
deposits made with their bids, except the deposits of the successful bidder and the next
lowest bidder, which shall be retained until the contract has been executed; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the bidder shall execute all contracts within ten days
after the contract is ready for their signature, and if not executed by them in said time, they
shall be deemed to have abandoned the same.
