Home My WebLink AboutResolution No. 097-26 - Resolution - Award of Contract - 2026 2 St SE and 16 Ave SE Sanitary Sewer Maintenance Project - Project No. J7838 RESOLUTION Awarding Contract for Project No. J7838 - 2 St SE and 16 Ave SE Sanitary Sewer Maintenance Project WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the following improvement(s): Project No. J7838 - 2 St SE and 16 Ave SE Sanitary Sewer Maintenance Project, the following bids were received complying with the advertisement: Bid Name Total Griffin Construction Co., Inc. $1,842,488.16 Alcon Excavating Inc $1,969,414.27 BCM Construction, Inc $1,977,777 A-1 Excavating LLC $2,038,667 Pember Companies, Inc $2,231,295.20 Elcor Construction, Inc. $2,235,725 Heselton Construction $2,292,375.50 S.L. Contracting $2,370,902 ICON, LLC. $2,398,342.50; and WHEREAS, it appears that Griffin Construction Co., Inc. is the lowest responsive and responsible bidder. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of Rochester, Minnesota, that the bid of $1,842,488.16, is hereby accepted and execution of the standard City contract for construction with Griffin Construction Co., Inc, is authorized for the following approved local improvements: Project No. J7838- 2 St SE and 16 Ave SE Sanitary Sewer Maintenance Project; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk is directed to return to all bidders the deposits made with their bids, except the deposits of the successful bidder and the next lowest bidder, which shall be retained until the contract has been executed; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the bidder shall execute all contracts within ten days after the contract is ready for their signature, and if not executed by them in said time, they shall be deemed to have abandoned the same.
