Home My WebLink AboutResolution No. 098-26 - Resolution - Award of Contract - 2026 300 Block of 14th Ave SW Sanitary Sewer Improvements Project No. J7860 RESOLUTION Awarding Contract for Project No. J7860-2026 300 Block of 14th Ave SW Sanitary Sewer Improvements WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the following improvement(s): Project No. J7860-2026 300 Block of 14th Ave SW Sanitary Sewer Improvements, the following bids were received complying with the advertisement: Bid Name Total Elcor Construction, Inc. $257,110 BCM Construction, Inc $311,111 Pember Companies, Inc $353,242.15 Veit & Company, Inc. $404,190.92 Carl Bolander & Sons Co. $420,221 S.L. Contracting $497,708 A-1 Excavating LLC $499,999; and WHEREAS, it appears that Elcor Construction, Inc. is the lowest responsive and responsible bidder. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of Rochester, Minnesota, that the bid of $257,110, is hereby accepted and execution of the standard City contract for construction with Elcor Construction, Inc., is authorized for the following approved local improvements: Project No. J7860-2026 300 Block of 14th Ave SW Sanitary Sewer Improvements; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk is directed to return to all bidders the deposits made with their bids, except the deposits of the successful bidder and the next lowest bidder, which shall be retained until the contract has been executed; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the bidder shall execute all contracts within ten days after the contract is ready for their signature, and if not executed by them in said time, they shall be deemed to have abandoned the same.
