HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 113-26 - Resolution - RFD Grant HMRRTP Minnesota Department of Safety RESOLUTION Authorizing the Acceptance of a Grant for Hazardous Materials Emergency Preparedness Training. WHEREAS the Rochester Fire Department (RFD) has contracted with the State of Minnesota to continue serving as a Minnesota State Hazmat Response Team (HMRT) through the Minnesota Department of Public Safety Hazardous Materials Regional Response Team Program (HMRRTP) and WHEREAS, emergency preparedness training is required for RFD personnel to function as a part of the HMRT NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Common Council of the City of Rochester, MN that authorizes acceptance of a grant from the Minnesota Department of Safety in the amount of $9,216.97 to the City of Rochester Fire Department (RFD) for Hazardous Materials Emergency Preparedness Training. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the existing funding for the Minnesota Department of Public Safety Hazardous Materials Regional Response Team Program (HMRRTP) will be used to support the required matching funds in the amount of $1,843.39.
