Motion by Miner second by Olson carried that owing to the absence of Pres- I ident Smith, Alderman Schroeder act as President Pro tem oftthis meeting: Meeting called to 'Order by President Pro tem Schroeder& Roll Call: Present: Case,,Sehroeder, Rommel, Miner, Olson, Witzkea Absent: Smith: Motion by Case second by Witzke carried ghat the minutes of the meeting held on November 1, 1920,, be ;,approved:' z Paul Ha Priebe and H. J. Kruse were again before the Common:Council in rem gard to having a building permit for the Church of Peace Convalescent Home issued without cost to them, but no action was taken on their requests President Pro', tem Schroeder at this time excused Alderman Rommel who left the Council Chamberso. , Mayor Brovgn.:requested =authority for the appointment of a Policewoman and that the -salary for said- office bra• fixeda , Mayor Brown requested that action be taken in the luatter of vacating the office of 'Alderman -at -large ,M. Oa -Smith: Thw maUer was discussed, and motion by Case secondby Witzke carried that the Chair appoint a Committee of four for the purpose of investigating the whereabouts of Alderman -at -large M. ,Oa.
