rinnesota Municipalities, C1as, P. Hall, Chairman,
announces that the Legislative Conference of municipal
officials in Minnesota will take place*at the St. Paul
Hotel) St, Paul, Jaunary 20, 1927. At that time there
will be consideration of all subjects which municipal-
itits m�:y desire to present to the State Legislature.
Proposals for presentation to the Legislative
Conference should be submitted to the Executive Secre-
tar-, as soon as possible, preferably before January lst�
Only those subjects which are presented through official
resoli.ition by the municipal council will be given place
on the program.

On Motion by Bach second by hicks the City Clerk was instructed to
(draft ,�, resolution favoring a Legislative Act to eliminate the loss of interest
in the collection of special assessments through taxation.
On motion by Adler second by Hicks further hearing and action on the
above mentioned proposed re -surfacing of a part of Fourth StreetScutheast was
adjourned and continued to the last adjourned regular meeting of the Common Council
in March, 1927.
On motion by Bach second by Schroeder, the sum of 1100.00 wa.s -appropri-
ated from the Cener;�l Fund and it was ordered that the same be paid to Mrs. Catherine
Fritsch, as compensation for the death of Christopher F.,Fritsch,during the period
Oetob(,i--, 29th, 1926,-to December 2nd, 1926, inclusive.
O.a motion by Hicks second by Bach the sum of '3134.00 was appropriated
from the Street and .Alley Fund and it was ordered that the same bc; paid :T54.00
to Fred S . Brown for compensation for injury ftw irig the period November 16th, 1926,
to December 6th, 1926, inclusive,and !,,M.00 to Otto Wilke for compensation for
injure during period November 5th, 1926, to December 2nd, 1926, inclusive.
On�motion by Hicks second by Adler the Police Department was authorized
to purchase three (3) twelve (12)p4uge, sawed off, repeating shot guns.
Alderman Bach introduced a resolution appropriating 5.15202.48 from the
Setir ;v Disposal Plant Fund and ordering payment made to Maass ?•. licAndrew Company for
pipe,' fittings, labor, etc., for `the install ation of cellar drain and cut off valves
at th.,; Sewage Disposal Plant, which was read.

the Public Utility Fund of said City to.the Interest Fund of said City, the said

Minnesota 5% Electric Light .Bonds -dated -January 2nd, 1919,and numbered 651 to 950
inclusive; and 016250,00 for interest due January 1st, 1927, on City of Rochester,

entered into contract for making local public improvements in said
City during the ,year 1926, which improvements are to be paid for out of
the Permanent Improvement Revolving Fund of said City, from the pro-
c(;eds of the specia). assessments levied by the said Common Council of
the said City during; the year 1926, and
WHFRF,AC; there is not sufficient money in said. Permanent
Improvement Revolving Fund to make the p-�yments iror the said local
Improvements as the same t)ecome due, and
WHF,REAS, the Common Council of the City of Rochester, I
Minnesota, deers it necessary 2or the purpose of maintaining th.e said
Permanent•Improvement RevolvIng Fund and providing money in advance
of and in anticipation of the collection of special assessments levied
by the said Common Council of said City of Rochester to the aggregate
amount of 128,000.00.
N001 THEIR}:FORE, Be it and it is hereby resolved by the said
Common Council:
That said Co..rmon Council, for the purposes aforesaid, do
hereby issue the bonds of said City of Rochester, Minnesota, in the
aggregate araouht of .A28000.009 which said bonds shall be in denomina-
tions of `'1000.00 each., numbered twenty-one (21) to forty-eigh.ty(48),
boibh numbers inclusive, all payable to bearer, and the sum of j"2000.00
of the principal of the said bonds shall be'due and payable on December
lst in each of the years 1927, and 1928, and e3000.00 of the principal
of the said bonds shall be due and payable'on December 1st in each of
the ,years 1929, 19309 19310 19329 1933, 1934, 1935, and 1936. Said
bonds shall bear date December 1st, 1926, and interest at the rate of
four and one-half (41) per.eent per annum, from said dated payable semi-
annually on June 1st, and Deco -tuber 1st, of each year, with the interest
to be 61--idenced by coupons attached to said bonds.
All principal and interest shall be payable at the office of
the City Treasurer of the City of Rochester, Minnesota; out of the Per-
manent Improvement Revol ing Fund of said City, and if there be not
sufficient money in said Fund for that purpose,,then out of the General
Fund" of saki City.

in the County of Olmsted and State of Minnesota, acknowledges and cer-
tifies that it is indebted to, and for value received,, hereby promises to
pay to the bearer, on December first, 19_, the sum of One Thousand
( oCO.00) Dollars, togesther with interest on said sum from the date
hereof until paid at the rate of four aAd one-half (42) per cent, per
annum, payable semi-annually, on the first day of June and. December, in.
each .year hereafter, both principal and interest payable in lawful- money
of the united States qDf America, at the office'of the City Treasurer of
the City of Rochester, Minnesota, out of the Permanent Improvement
Revolving Fund, of said City,.or if there shall not be sufficient moneys
in said Fund to pay the same when due, -then out of the General Fund
of the said City, and for the prompt payment of this bond at matui,ity,
with interest aforesaid, they full faith and credit of the said City of
Rochester is hereby pledged.
This Bond is issued for the purpose of maintaining the Permanent

to be derived from special assessments heretofore levied, but not raid, for the

City, which is directed to be held in the C ouneil Chambers, in the City Hall, in sa

Alderan Kitzma.n introduced a resolution granting: public dance permit

adopted as read and all voting in favor thereof., President Wee,.,-s declared
the said resolution duly passed and adopted.
Alderman Hicks introduced an ordinanve to amend an ordinance entitled
"An Ordinance Regulating Traffic Within the City of Rochester, providing
j for the Operation and Parking .of Ve4iedes sand. de.s ignating Arterial Highways
in Said City", which was given its first reading,.
Upon motion ,by Adler second by Bach, the rules were suspended and
the said ordinance was given its second reading.
Upon motion by Hicks second by Postier, the rules .:were suspended
and the said ordinance was given its third and final reading.
Upon Motion by Bach second -by Schroeder, that the said ordinance
e adopted as read and all voting in favor thereof, President `,Neel>s
eclared the said ordinance duly passed and adopted.
