Upon motion by Rommel, second by Schroeder, the minutes of the meetings
held on October loth, 19271% October 17th, 1927, and two meetings held on October
24th, 19-0','", were approved,
president Weeks Announced that this was the time and place for e hearing
on the construction of a sanitary sewer and the laying of a water main in Seventh
Avenue; Southeast, from the center of Eleventh Street Southeast to the center of

There was no person present who wished to be heard relative to the above
described sanitary sewer or water rain.

president Weeks announced this was the time and place fixed for a hearing
on the construction of a sanitary sewer and the laying of a water rain in Sixth
Avenue Southeast, from the center of Eleventh Street Southeast to the center of
Twelfth Street Southeast, and asked if there was any person present who wished to
be heard relative to the said sanitary sewer and water main.

purchase of �2000.00 City of Rochester, Minnesota, Q, per cent Sewage Disposal
Plant Bonds, the following p3:•ippoeal' was opened and read:

Upon motion by Schroeder, second by Adler, the City Attorney was instructed
to draft an ordinance amendsgt 'which will eliminate the provision that the name of
the owner .,of the taxicabs shall appear on the doors. of the automobiles and ,shall
substitute instead the trade.name of the concern operating the automobiles.

Alderman Schroeder introduced a resolution determining to adhere to all
of the provisions of former resolutions passed and adopted in the proceedings for
the construction of a sanitary sewer and the laying 'of a water :Hain in Seventh
Avenue Southeast, from the center of Eleventh Street Southeast to the center of
Twelfth Street Southeast, which 'was read.
Upon motion by Schroeder, second by Etiekson, that the said resolution be
ado-oted as read, and all voting in favor thereof, President Weeks declared the said
resolution duly passed and adopted.
Alderman Schroeder introduced a resolution aeeupting the above quoted
proposal of 111m. V. Fraser & Son for the construction of a sanitary sewer and the
laying of a water. main in Seventh Avenue.Southeast, from the center of Eleventh
Street Southeast_ to the center .of Twelfth Street -Southeast, and firing the amount
of the bond to be given by the said o,ontraetor at the sum of $1800,00, which was re

adopted as read, and all voting in favor thereof, President Weeks declared the said
resolution duly passed and adopted.
Upon motion by Adler, seoond by Schroeder, the City Clerk was instructed
to return the certified check of; unsuccessful bidder.for the construction of a sani-
tary sewer and the laying of a water main:. in part of Seventh Avenue Southeast.
Upon motion by Adler, second by Rommel, the Chief of Police was
instructed to purchase one machine gun, two extra clips, six tear bombs,
and fifty tear gas cartridges.
Upon motion by Erickson, second by Hicks, the City Attorney was
instructed to draw a resolution cancelling the contract with the L. A. Kepp
Electric Company for the furnishing of labor, materials, etc., for the instal-
lation of a police and fire alarm sisal system.
UPon motion by Rommel, second -by Erickson, L. A. Cowles, Superin-
tendent of the Electric Linz,ht Department,was instructed to;draw plans, pro-
files, specifications and estimate of cost for the installation of a Police
and Fire Alarm signal,system; all voting in favor thereof, except Alderman
Schroeder, who voted "Fay".
Balance sheet, income statements, etc.,. of the Vublic Utility Depart-
ent, as at October•31st,1927, prepared by the Secretary of the Public Utility

ctober,1927, showing receipts in the amount of $2,212.84, and disbursements
the amount of !"'2,298.10, and a balance ,on hand in the amount of $7,487.,05,

half of the taxes on Soldierd Field.to Doctor Christopher Graham's

T'he contract with the American Legion and also the
deed to the City bf Rochester called for the payment of the 1926
taxes by the .Legion` or the City, on this land.
Doctor Graham has requested me to ask you to reim-
burse him in the amount of 1455.80 in aecord-nee with the contract
in the deed to the City bf Rochester.

in Tenth Avenue Southeast, between Fift Street.Southeastand Third Street

Alderman Erickson introduced a resolution deeding it for the best interests
oi' the City of Rochester, Minnesota, that the buildings on'Lots 7 to 14 inclusive
in Block 29, in Cumning's Addition, known as the Isolation Hospital Buildings be
old to The hi:hc;st bidder, and ordering that the City Clerk advertise for sealed
bids to be opened December 5th,1927, which mas read.

Alderman Schroeder introduced a resolution granting public dance permit to

Alderman Adler introduced a resolution granting -public dance permit
to C. Tom. Stewart for the Woodman Hall, November 12th, 19th, and 26th,1927,
and fixing the fee at 15,00, which was read.
