Resolution Receiving Feasibility Report and Calling Hearing on Improvement
WHEREAS, pursuant to the City of Rochester’s Capital Improvement Plan, a report has been
prepared by the City Engineer with reference to proposed Improvement Project No. J4706,
Sidewalk along 35 St SE and Woodlake Dr SE, and this report was received by the council on
April 15, 2019, and
WHEREAS, the report provides information regarding whether the proposed improvement is
necessary, cost-effective, and feasible; whether it should best be made as proposed or in
connection with some other improvement; the estimated cost of the improvement as
recommended; and a description of the methodology used to calculate individual assessments
for affected parcels.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ROCHSTER, MINNESOTA, THAT:
1. The council will consider the improvement of such street in accordance with the report and
the assessment of abutting property for a portion of the cost of the improvement pursuant to
Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 429 at an estimated total cost of the improvement of $355,179.50
with estimated sidewalk costs to be assessed in the amount of $268,210.13.
2. A public hearing shall be held on such proposed improvement on the 20th day of May,
2019, in the Council/Board Chambers of City Hall at 7 p.m., and the clerk shall give mailed and
published notice of such hearing and improvement as required by law.
3. The Council accepts the feasibility report prepared by the City Engineer.
