HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance No. 4378 - Second Reading: Ordinance Amendment of Heritage Preservation Voting Members ORDINANCE NO. ____ AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SUBDIVSION b OF SECTION 4-7-2 OF CHAPTER 4-7 OF THE ROCHESTER CODE OF ORDINANCES RELATING TO HERITAGE PRESERVATION THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROCHESTER ORDAINS: Section 1. Subsection b of Section 4-7-2 of Chapter 4-7 of the Rochester Code of Ordinances is hereby amended to read as follows: (b) The Commission shall consist of 11 nine voting members to be nominated by the Mayor and appointed by the Council. Commission members must be persons with demonstrated interest and expertise in historic preservation and must reside within the City. The Commission shall include, if available, a member of the Olmsted County Historical Society. Demonstrated interest and expertise may include experience and interest in a variety of vocations and fields that may be engaged in historic preservation efforts and issues, including, without limitation, architecture, construction, legal, real estate, and economic development.
