HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 124-19 - Personnel Advisory Committee Role Changes RESOLUTION PERSONNEL ADVISORY COMMITTEE WHEREAS, the Rochester City Council adopted a resolution re-establishing the role of the Committee on Personnel on April 17, 1995; and WHEREAS, the Committee on Personnel title has assumed the existing title of “Personnel Advisory Committee” (PAC) over the past years; and WHEREAS, the current Personnel Advisory Committee members met in an open meeting on June 5, 2019 to review the Resolution dated April 17, 1995 and to further discuss and review the ongoing role and purpose of this committee. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council confirms the Personnel Advisory Committee (PAC) members shall consist of three Council members appointed by Council in January of each year to serve a one-year term. PAC will primarily serve as an avenue for dispute resolution (i.e. grievance procedures, Veterans Preference Hearing, etc.) with final decision making authority for outcomes. PAC may also serve other purposes as deemed appropriate by the Council or the City Administrator.
