RESOLUTION
Land Acquisition - Chester Woods Trail Project J-4678.
WHEREAS, the City is proposing to construct a pedestrian/bike path to connect the
th
Rochester trail system to the Chester Woods trail from Towne Club Parkway SE to 50
Avenue SE as part of City Project J-4678.
WHEREAS, valuations have been performed for the land rights needed on the properties
impacted by this project, and the City’s right of way consultant has contacted the impacted
property owners. Based on continued negotiations between the City and the affected
property owners, settlements have been reached with the owners of one of the impacted
parcels.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Common Council of the City of Rochester
that the City accept and execute a Purchase Agreement with the property owners listed
below for land rights needed for construction of a pedestrian/bike path to connect the

Rochester trail system to the Chester Woods trail from Towne Club Parkway SE to 50
Avenue SE as part of City Project J-4678.
Owners: Estate of Rose Marie Heppelmann, Sara Cowen, Margaret
Trost, Andrew Spencer, and Joseph Spencer
Compensation: $30,600.00
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that that the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized to execute
any and all documents required in order to implement this resolution.
