Civic on First Hyatt House TB Contracts On behalf of EKN Development Group, Inc., PCL has contracted with TBs for 5% of the Civic on Hyatt House project. One of the TB contractors is Bald Eagle Erectors, Inc., based in Lino Lakes, Minn. Bald Eagle Erectors is certified MBE (Native American) by Minnesota Unified Certification Program (MnUCP) and VOSB (Veteran Owned Small Business) certified by U.S. Dept. of Veteran Affairs. Bald Eagle Erectors is a member and employs union Ironworkers from the Local 512. CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY NEWS OCTOBER IS NATIONAL DISABILITY EMPLOYMENT AWARENESS MONTH One of these carpenters is deaf with a successful career in construction. NOVEMBER: AMERICAN INDIAN & ALASKA NATIVE HERITAGE MONTH Thank you Native Americans for your time and talents working on Destination Medical Center projects. 3400 hours, 4% of total work performed, on Mortenson One Discovery Square (2018-2019) was performed by Native Americans. 2% of work performed (2017- 2019) on Alatus Housing, Hotel Indigo and Urban on First was performed by Native Americans. Of all DMC projects, Alatus Housing employed the most Native American workforce hours (8438). Egan Company provided employment of 3200 Native American hours, followed by Northland Concrete (2100 hours) and Reger Companies (1391 hours) on Alatus Housing. VETERANS DAY IS WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 11, 2020 CITY OF ROCHESTER DMC PREFERENCE Veteran-Owned Small Businesses Enterprise (VBE) businesses receive a preference of up to 6 percent. The preference is applied only to the first $1 million of the solicitation and will not exceed $60,000.
