WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the following improvement(s): Water Reclamation Plant Phase 1 - Remodel and Effluent Upgrade, Project No. J4333, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law, and the following combined bids for labor and materials were received complying with the advertisement: Company Amount Knutson Construction Services Rochester, Inc. $12,248,960 Pacific Construction Services LLC $12,748,565 Alvin E Benike, Inc $13,071,100 Krause-Anderson Construction Company $13,599,521 Corval Constructors, Inc. $14,918,020 WHEREAS, it appears that Knutson Construction Services Rochester, Inc. is the lowest responsive and responsible bidder. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Common Council of the City of Rochester, Minnesota that the combined labor and material bid of $12,248,960 is hereby accepted and the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute two contracts for construction with Knutson Construction Services Rochester, Inc. in the name of the City of Rochester for the following improvements J4333 Water Reclamation Plant Phase 1 - Remodel and Effluent Upgrade, according to the plans and specifications issued for bid and additional three addendums issued during bid process in the amount of $7,472,694 for the Owner-Contractor Agreement (labor) and $4,776,266 for the Purchasing Agent Agreement (materials). BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the bidder shall execute all contracts within ten days after the contract is ready for their signature, and if not executed by them in said time, they shall be deemed to have abandoned the same.
