HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 325-20 - On-Sale License Fee Relief Recommendation RESL RESOLUTION Adopting Implementation of an On-Sale Liquor License Relief Program. WHEREAS, on November 23, 2020, the Common Council directed staff to bring forward a recommendation to provide direct, targeted relief to our on-sale liquor license holders. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Common Council of the City of Rochester directs staff to implement the following actions: 1. Supplement the License Grant Program up to the total cost of a local business’s on- sale liquor license for 2020-2021; 2. Provide an option to defer any fee payments for 2021-22 Licenses (due April 1, 2021) until August 1, 2021, or pay quarterly with 10% down; 3. Delay the 40% increase scheduled for April 2021 until April 2022. 4. Finalize funding through a combination of remaining contingency and fund balance/unrealized revenue. 5. No business entity that was shut down for failure to adhere to COVID-19 guidelines shall have access to the aforementioned relief.
