HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 017-20 - Water Reclamation Plant (WRP) Annual Chemical Bidding Award Resolution RESOLUTION WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for a one year’s supply of Liquid Aluminum Sulfate and Anhydrous Ferric Chloride, bids were received, opened, and tabulated according to law, and the following bids were received complying with the advertisement: Liquid Aluminum Sulfate Bid 1. Univar $47,478.00 2. C & S Chemical $48,462.00 3. Chemtrade Chemicals $62,730.00 4. Hawkins No Bid 5. PVS Technologies No Bid 6. Kemira No Bid 7. USALCL No Bid Anhydrous Ferric Chloride Bid 1. Hawkins $286,534.00 2. PVS Technologies $307,280.00 3. Chemtrade Chemicals No Bid 4. Kemira No Bid 5. Univar No Bid 6. USALCO No Bid WHEREAS, it appears that Univar is the lowest responsive and responsible bidder for Liquid Aluminum Sulfate and Hawkins is the lowest and responsible bidder for Anhydrous Ferric Chloride; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of Rochester, Minnesota: That the low bids of $47,478.00 by Univar and $286,534.00 by Hawkins are hereby accepted and the Mayor and the City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute the contracts with Univar and Hawkins in the name of the City of Rochester for a one year’s supply of Liquid Aluminum Sulfate and Anhydrous Ferric Chloride.
