RESOLUTION
BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of Rochester that the Comprehensive
Traffic & Parking Resolution, previously adopted and amended by the Common Council, be
amended in the following respects:
1. Delete Section A, “Angle Parking,” Paragraph 7.6:
1st Ave SW, on the east side from 1st St. to 2nd St.
2. Delete Section A, “Angle Parking,” Paragraph 7.5:
1st Ave SW, on the west side from Center Street to 1st St
3. Reaffirm Section B, “No Parking Zones,” Paragraph 42.3:
1st Ave SW, on both sides, from Center St to 2nd St SW between the hours of 2:00
a.m. and 6:00 a.m. Sunday through Friday. Between the hours of 2:00 a.m. and
9:00 a.m. Saturdays.
4. Amend Section C, “Special Parking Zones,” Zone A, Paragraph 1:
1st Ave SW, 100 block, on the west side immediately adjacent to the Peace Plaza
“Police Only” 1st Ave SW, east side, between Peace Plaza and 2nd St SW, one
space for Law Enforcement Vehicles Only.
5. Delete Section C, “Special Parking Zones,” Zone A, Paragraph 5:
1st Ave SW, on the east side, between the 10 block and the 100 block, 36 feet
more or less at the indented area adjacent to the Peace Plaza, for law enforcement
vehicles, at all times.
6. Add Section C, “Special Parking Zones,” Zone A, Paragraph 2.3:
1st Ave SW, west side, between West Center St and Peace Plaza, one accessible
space.
7. Add Section C, “Special Parking Zones,” Zone A, Paragraph 2.3:
1st Ave SW, east side, between Peace Plaza and 2nd St SW, one accessible
space.
8. Delete Section D, “Truck Loading Zones,” Paragraph 12:
1st Ave SW on the east side from West Center St to 74 feet, more or less, south of
West Center St - 3 stalls, 30 minute limit, Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 6:00
PM.
9. Delete Section D, “Truck Loading Zones,” Paragraph 13:
1st Ave SW on the east side from the alley north of 2nd St to a point 25 feet, more
or less, south of said alley (Green Parrot).
10. Delete Section D, “Truck Loading Zones,” Paragraph 14:
1st Ave SW, on the 100 block, on the west side, Monday through Saturday, 6 AM to
6 PM, 15-minute limit.
11. Delete Section E, “Passenger Loading Zones,” Paragraph 15:
1st Ave SW, on the east side, from 1st St South to a point 25 feet more or less
south of 1st St, in front of the premise known as 100 1st Ave SW, at all times.
12. Delete Section E, “Passenger Loading Zones,” Paragraph 18:
1st St SW, 100 block, on the south side, 4 spaces adjacent to the Kahler Hotel; 15-
minute limit, Monday through Friday, at all times.
13. Delete Section E, “Passenger Loading Zones,” Paragraph 19:
1st St SW, on the north side, immediately east of 2nd Ave SW, 100 feet more or
less in front of the building known as the Kahler Hotel.
14. Delete Section I, “30 minute meters,” Zone C, Paragraph 10:
1st St SW, 100 block, on the north side, 2 spaces in the center of the block.
15. Amend Section I, “30 minute meters,” Zone C, Paragraph 10.2:
1st Ave. SW, in the 10 block, on the west side, space numbers 61-01 through 61-17
from West Center St to Peace Plaza.
16. Delete Section I, “30 minute meters,” Zone C, Paragraph 12:
1st Ave SW, on the west side, 2 spaces immediately north of 2nd St. SW.
17. Delete Section I, “30 minute meters,” Zone C, Paragraph 14.41:
1st Ave SW, in the 10 block, on the west side, space numbers 61-12 through 61-17.
18. Amend Section I, “30 minute meters,” Zone C, Paragraph 14.5:
1st Ave SW, in the 100 block, on the east side, space numbers 70-50 through 70-61
from Peace Plaza to 2nd St SW.
19. Delete Section I, “90 minute meters,” Zone E, Paragraph 10.2a:
1st Ave SW, in the 10 block, on the west side, spaces numbers 61-01 through 61-
11.
20. Delete Section I, “90 minute meters,” Zone E, Paragraph 10.21:
1st Ave SW, in the 100 block, on the east side, space numbers 70-62 through 70-
67.
21. Delete Section J, “Passenger & Commodity Loading Zones,” Paragraph 1.3a:
1st Ave SW, in the 10 block, on the west side – one space at each end of the block,
spaces 61-0 & 61-18 for 15 minutes. 1st Ave SW, in the 100 block, on the west
side, between 1st St & 2nd St SW for 15 minutes with the exception of one space
on the north end reserved for “Police only”. 1st Ave SW, in the 100 block, on the
east side, in the front of the 100 – 1st Ave Building, spaces 70-28 & 70-69.
