RESOLUTION
Awarding Contract for 2021 Joint Mastic Street Rehabilitation.
WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the following improvement(s):
Project No. 2021 Joint Mastic Street Rehabilitation, the following bids were received
complying with the advertisement:
Asphalt Surface Technologies Corporation $100,001.25
Bargen, Inc. $221,484.25; and
WHEREAS, it appears that Asphalt Surface Technologies Corporation. is the lowest
responsive and responsible bidder.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of Rochester
that the bid of $100,001.25 is hereby accepted, up to the budget limit of $100,000.00,
and execution of the standard City contract for construction with Asphalt Surface
Technologies Corporation, is authorized for the following approved local improvements:
Project No. 2021 Joint Mastic Street Rehabilitation.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk is directed to return to all bidders the
deposits made with their bids, except the deposits of the successful bidder and the next
lowest bidder, which shall be retained until the contract has been executed.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the bidder shall execute all contracts within ten days
after the contract is ready for their signature, and if not executed by them in said time,
they shall be deemed to have abandoned the same.
