More than 80 individuals inquired about the Highway Heavy construction
trades pre-apprentice month-long course funded by MnDOT at Workforce
Development, Inc. The 160 hour course in June 2021 consisted of OSHA 30
(30 hours of safety training), CPR/First Aid/AED, and Flagger’s Card preparation.
Of the 15 who were accepted to the class, seven were women and eight
were of a minority race/ethnicity. Two of the 12 people who completed
training were hired immediately and others are seeking employment. If your
company would like to interview a graduate, please contact Susan Boehm at
507.512.0494 or sboehm@wdimn.org.
