In January 2021, The City of Rochester
and Destination Medical Center hosted
Inclusive Workforce Practices: Why You
Need a Workforce Participation Plan online
workshop on January 20, 2021, available to
watch on YouTube.
We are creating professional develop-
ment opportunities for contractors in 2022.
We want to help contractors learn how to
recruit and retain a more diverse workforce.

Development Survey
As of the end of October 2021, the Rochester Rapid Transit project is 42% complete. Workforce
participation on this project has been outstanding. Of the 29,000 hours performed by SRF staff,
29% have been performed by women and 14% minority professionals. 4RM+ULA has provide the
most minority hours: 1,682 (61%) followed by SOM with 413 hours (13%) and Center for
Transportation and the Environment with 169 hours (33%).
Of the 3,000+ hours provided by SOM, 1,972 hours (64%) were performed by women
staff members. Mead & Hunt women staff have performed 1,569 hours (71%). Kimley-Horn
and Associates women staff have worked 1,322 hours (23%). 4RM+ULA women staff worked 646
(23%). Women at the Center for Transportation and the Environment have worked 374 (74%)
hours. Braun Intertec women worked 293 (34%). CCF women worked 135 hours (29%). Gwen
Grossman Lighting Design performed 129 hours (100% women). Cross Spectrum Acoustics had 88
hours (77%), Two Pines Resource Group had 60 hours (23%) and Lerch and Bates women staff
provided 33 hours (43%) performed by women.
