HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance Summary No. 4466 - Summary Repeal and Replace City Code Title 7 relating to Housing Code.OrdSummary ORDINANCE NO. _________ AN ORDINANCE REPEALING IN WHOLE CHAPTERS 7-1, 7-2, 7-3, 7- 4, 7-5 AND 7-6 AND REPLACING WITH NEW CHAPTERS 7-1, 7-2, 7- 3, 7-4, 7-5, 7-6 AND CREATING CHAPTERS 7-7, 7-8, 7-9 AND 7-10 OF TITLE 7 OF THE ROCHESTER CODE OF ORDINANCES RELATING TO HOUSING CODE. . The following is a summary of the Ordinance repealing and replacing Chapters 7-1 through 7-6 and creating new Chapters 7-7 through 7-10 of Title 7 of the Rochester Code of Ordinances relating to housing code. This Ordinance is adopted by the Rochester Common Council at the April 18, 2022 council meeting, with an effective date of September 1, 2022, and is published pursuant to Section 6.07 of the Rochester Home Rule Charter and Section 331A.01, subd. 10 of the Minnesota Statutes. The Rochester Common Council approved the publication of this ordinance summary at its April 18, 2022, meeting. A copy of this ordinance is on file at the Office of the City Clerk, 201 Fourth Street S.E., Room 135, Rochester, MN, and at the Rochester Public Library, 101 Second Street S.E., Rochester, MN. This ordinance is repealed and replaced to update current practices that align with the International Property Maintenance Code.
