HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 114-22 - Resolution - Continued Use of Day Center Equipment by The Landing MN RESOLUTION Authorizing the Continued Use of Day Center Equipment Purchased Through CARES Act Funding for The Landing MN. WHEREAS, the City of Rochester received funding through the CARES Act to support people experiencing homelessness; and WHEREAS, the CARES Act funding was used to purchase furniture and equipment to support a day center for people experiencing homelessness; and WHEREAS, The Landing MN was contracted by the City of Rochester to operate a day center for people experiencing homelessness; and WHEREAS, the continued use of the furniture and equipment will allow The Landing MN to continue providing services to people experiencing homelessness; and WHEREAS, the financial implications of this continued use are minimal to the City of Rochester and the benefits to The Landing MN are profound; and WHEREAS, this continued use will help us to further affirm our connection and commitment to support people experiencing homelessness within the City of Rochester; WHEREAS, this continued use will continue until the end of the useful life of the equipment or the end of The Landing MN day center program; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by The City Council of The City of Rochester that the City authorizes the continued use of the following equipment by The Landing MN, as purchased for the day center program:  Tables & Chairs  Washer & Dryer  Microwaves  Lockers  Refrigerator  Freezer  AED PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROCHESTER, MINNESOTA, THIS __________ DAY OF _______________, 2022. ___________________________________ PRESIDENT OF SAID COMMON COUNCIL ATTEST: __________________________ CITY CLERK APPROVED THIS _____ DAY OF ______________________, 2022. ___________________________________ MAYOR OF SAID CITY (Seal of the City of Rochester, Minnesota)
