WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the following project: Channel Stabilization of Cascade Creek Tributary - Project No. J6710 between 15th ST NW and 7th ST NW along Douglas Trail, the following bids were received complying with the advertisement: Nadeau Companies $ 541,437.00 Elcor Construction, Inc. $ 647,915.50 Alcon Excavating, Inc. $ 692,663.80 Fitzgerald Excavating & Trucking $ 776,131.00 Carl Bolander & Sons Co. $1,133,391.90; and WHEREAS, Nadeau Companies is the lowest responsive and responsible bidder. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Common Council of the City of Rochester that the bid of $541,437 is hereby accepted and execution of the standard City contract for construction with Nadeau Companies is authorized for the following approved project: Channel Stabilization of Cascade Creek Tributary - Project No. J6710 between 15th St NW and 7th St NW along Douglas Trail; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk is directed to return to all bidders the deposits made with their bids, except the deposits of the successful bidder and the next lowest bidder, which shall be retained until the contract has been executed; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the bidder shall execute all contracts within 10 days after the contract is ready for their signature, and if not executed by them in said time, they shall be deemed to have abandoned the same.
