HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 378-14 378-14 D17 RESOLUTION WHEREAS,th e City of Rochester supports the grant application made to the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources for the Parks and Trails Legacy Grant Program. The application is to construct 1.9 miles of paved trail and 0.2 mile of trail reconstruction for the City of Rochester Recreational Trail System. The trail project is a connection from the Chester Woods Regional Trail to the City of Rochester Trail System. The trail system is located within rights of way to be secured for the trail; and, WHEREAS, the City of Rochester recognizes that it has secured $531,250 (TAP funds) and $328,750 (City) in non-state cash matching funds for this Project. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Rochester Common Council that, if the City of Rochester is awarded a grant by the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources, the City of Rochester agrees to accept the grant award, and may enter into an agreement with the State of Minnesota for the above referenced project. The City of Rochester will comply with all applicable laws, environmental requirements and regulations as stated in the grant agreement.
