HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 399-12 qq • RESOLUTION WHEREAS, the City of Rochester supports the grant application made to the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources for the Parks and Trails Legacy Grant Program. The application is to construct 3.0 miles of paved trail for the East Circle Drive Trail Segment of the City of Rochester Trail System. The trail system is located within primarily within existing public road rights of way or on lands owned by units of government; and, WHEREAS, the City of Rochester has secured $800,000 of Federal Enhancement funds, and has available $199,490 of local city funding. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Rochester Common Council that, if the City of Rochester is awarded a grant by the Minnesota Department of Natural resources, the City of Rochester agrees to accept the grant award, and may enter into an agreement with the State of Minnesota for the above referenced project. The City of Rochester will comply with all applicable laws, environmental requirements and regulations as stated in the grant agreement. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City of Rochester names the fiscal agent for the City of Rochester for this project as: • Dale Martinson Director of Finance City of Rochester 201 4t" Street SE, Room 204 Rochester, MN 55904 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City of Rochester hereby assures the East Circle Drive Trail Segment of the City of Rochester Trail System will be maintained for a period of no less than 20 years. • PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROCHESTER, MINNESOTA, THIS DAY F 2012.
