HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 476-12 • RESOLUTION WHEREAS, the Olmsted County Auditor has provided to the City a list of properties that have become tax forfeited and available to the City at a minimal cost if there is a valid public purpose; and, WHEREAS,' the City has determined there is a public purpose supporting the public acquisition of three of the listed properties. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of Rochester that the City is entitled to the following parcels of land based on the existence of a valid public purpose and requests the Olmsted County Board of Commissioners to provide a favorable recommendation to receive these properties: 74.18.24.067619 63.06.34.068811 • 63.06.34.068813 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City staff be directed to acquire the above properties for the reasons explained. r BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that it is the judgment of the Common Council that the purchase of the real property covered by this resolution has no relationship to the City's comprehensive plan. As such, the Council hereby dispenses with the requirement of Minnesota Statute Section 462.356, subd. 2 that might require the City Planning and Zoning Commission to perform a comprehensive plan compliance review of the action described by this resolution.
