• RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, pursuant to a resolution passed by the Common Council on the 7th day of March,
2011 the City Engineer(consulting engineer retained for the purpose)has prepared plans and
specifications and has submitted the same to the Common Council for its approval for the following
improvement(s): Project No. M9-10 (J-6035) "Construct 4 speed tables with sidewalk,2 on Villa
Road NW and 2 on Chateau Road NW' and Project No. M9-11 (J�"Widen Villa Road on
the east side to add a pedestrian walkway from the southerly inter ec ion with Chateau Road to
a point approximately 2400'to the northwest".
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of Rochester,
Minnesota:
(1) Such plans and specifications, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof,
are hereby approved.
(2)The City Clerk shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official paper and in the
Construction Bulletin an advertisement for bids on the construction of said improvement(s)pursuant
to said approved plans and specifications. The advertisement shall be published as required by law,
shall specify the work to be done, and shall state that the bids will be received and opened in the office
of the City Clerk in the City Hall, in said City, at 11:00 AM on (to be determined), and shall be
considered by the Common Council at 7:00 PM on (to be determined) in the Common Council
Chambers in the City Hall, in said City, and that no bids will be considered unless sealed and timely
filed with the City Clerk and accompanied by a bid bond, cashier's check or certified check payable to
the City of Rochester for 5 percent of the amount of such bid.
