RESOLUTION
BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of Rochester that the City grant a
revocable permit to Gamehaven Council of the Boy Scouts of America and Rochesterfest to
allow for the provision of rappelling down the side of the Broadway Residence & Suites at 15 1st
Street S.E., on Tuesday, June 21, 2011, from 3:00 to 5:00 PM and Wednesday, June 22, 2011,
from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM as a part of the Rochesterfest celebration.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the granting of the revocable permit is subject to the
following conditions:
1. Permittees must hold the City harmless, by insurance coverage or by agreement,
and hereby agree to defend, indemnify and hold the City harmless from any claims
arising out of the use of the public right-of-way for the rappelling activity involving
the Broadway Residence and Suites at 15 First Street S.E.,
2. Permittees must remove all equipment and fully restore the alley area as it was
previous at the time of the permit;
3. Permittees must execute any document required by the City Attorney's Office prior
to delivery of the permit;
• 4. This permit may not be assigned without the City's approval.
The Mayor and the City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute the revocable
permit, subject to the above conditions, on behalf of the City.
