WHEREAS, the Minnesota Department of Transportation is seeking candidates for the
Safe Routes to Schools Infrastructure Grant program. This program seeks to increase the use
and safety of public rights-of-way for children walking or biking to school.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the. Common Council of the City of
Rochester that an application be submitted for a bike path project along the north side of 55th
Street between 50th Avenue N.W., and 55th Avenue N.W., in proximity to the Gibb Elementary
School.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City,Engineer is authorized to act on the City's
behalf in filing and administering this application.
