Home My WebLink AboutResolution No. 472-11 Form 7 RESOLUTION WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the following improvement(s): Project No.J-2608 "Demolition of Building and Restoration located at 601 - V Avenue SW(KTTC)" bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law,and the following bids were received complying with the advertisement: Base Bid Alternate 1 Fraser Construction $69,940.00 $11,290.00 Friedrich Const.Inc. 162,100.00 6,000.00 Blitz Construction no quote no quote Braaten Construction no quote no quote Construction Collaborative no quote no quote Swenkee Construction no quote no quote and, WHEREAS, it appears that Fraser Construction of Rochester,MN is the lowest responsive and responsible bidder. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of Rochester,Minnesota: (1)That the bid of$69,940.00 is hereby accepted and the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute the standard City contract for construction with Fraser Construction of Rochester,MN in the name of the City of Rochester for the following local improvement(s): Project No.J-2608 "Demolition of Building and Restoration located at 601 - 1st Avenue SW(KTTC)" according to the plans and specifications therefore approved by the Common Council and on file in the office of the City Clerk. (2)The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with • their bids,except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the next lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been executed. All contracts shall be executed by the bidder within ten days after the contract is ready for his signature, and if not executed by him in said time, he shall be deemed to have abandoned the same.
