HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 117-10 LD RESOLUTION WHEREAS, the City of Rochester supports the application made to the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources for the Local Trails Connections project funded in part by Bonding Bill Grant Funds. The application is to construct one and nine-tenth (1.9) miles of bridge and paved trail for the Douglas — Cascade Trail Segment (along the DM&E spur previously connecting Rochester, Douglas and Pine Island) of the City of Rochester Trail System. The trail system is located within public street right of way and DM&E spur right of way to be purchased with this project; and, WHEREAS, the City of Rochester recognizes the 50 percent match requirement and has secured the matching funds. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Rochester Common Council that, since the City of Rochester is awarded a Bonding Bill grant administered by the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources, the City of Rochester agrees to accept the grant award, and will enter into an agreement with the State of Minnesota for the above referenced project.
