Home My WebLink AboutResolution No. 118-10 Form 5 RESOLUTION • WHEREAS, pursuant to a resolution adopted by the Common Council on the 5th day of April, 2010 on the making of the following improvement(s): Project No.M6-03-Ph 4-08(J-7778) "Phase 4 NE Sanitary Sewer Relief Line"; and, WHEREAS, pursuant to the aforesaid resolution the Public Works Department has prepared and presented to the Common Council plans and specifications for the said improvement(s). NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of Rochester, Minnesota: (1) Such improvement is necessary, cost-effective, and feasible as detailed in the feasibility report. (2)The foregoing improvement(s)is hereby ordered to be made as proposed in the resolution adopted by the Common Council on the 5th day of April,2010. (3)The Public Works Director is hereby designated as the Engineer for this improvement and the plans and specifications prepared by the Public Works Department, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof, and hereby approved and ordered filed with the City Clerk. (4)The City Clerk shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official paper and in the Construction Bulletin an advertisement for bids on the construction of such improvement(s) pursuant to such approved plans and specifications. The advertisement shall be published as required by law,received,and opened in the office of the City Clerk at 11:00 A.M. on May 6,2010 and shall specify the work to be done, shall state that bids will be considered by the Council at 7:00 P.M. on May 17,2010 in the Council/Board Chambers in the Government Center, in said City, and • that no bids will be considered unless sealed and timely filed with the Clerk and accompanied by a bid bond, cashier's check or certified check payable to the City of Rochester for 5 percent of the amount of such bid.
