Home My WebLink AboutResolution No. 395-10 .D—9 Form 7 RESOLUTION • WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the following improvement(s): Project No.J-2610 "City Centre Skyway Bridge" bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law, and the following bids were received complying with the advertisement: Schoeppner,Inc. $1,148,000 base bid The Boldt Company $1,149,000 base bid Knutson Construction Services $1,201,000 base bid Alvin E.Benike,Inc. $1,211,000 base bid Sheehy Construction Company $1,224,300 base bid The Joseph Company,Inc. $1,258,000 base bid Weis Builders,Inc. $1,284,999 base bid Key Builders,Inc. $1,285,000 base bid Met-Con Companies $1,309,000 base bid and, WHEREAS, it appears that Schoeppner,Inc. of Oronoco,Minnesota is the lowest responsive and responsible bidder. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of Rochester,Minnesota: (1)That the bid of$1,148,000 plus alternates for a total of$1,154,200 is hereby accepted and the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute the standard City contract for construction with Schoeppner of Oronoco,Minnesota in the name of the City of Rochester for the following local improvemdnt(s): Project No.J- 2610 according to the plans and specifications therefore approved by the Common Council and on file in the office of the City Clerk. (2)The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the next lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been executed. All contracts shall be executed by the bidder within ten days after the contract is ready for his signature, and if not executed by him in said time, he shall be deemed to have abandoned the same.
