• RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the Rochester City Clerk has received applications from Pawn America
Minnesota, LLC, for a Currency Exchange License; and,
WHEREAS, under Minnesota law, the City of Rochester must approve the application,
deny the application, or take no action; and,
WHEREAS, under Minnesota law (Minn. Stat. §53A.04(a)), if the City fails to take action
on the applications within 60 days of its submittal, the applications are deemed to be approved;
and,
WHEREAS, based upon past practices for similar application, the City does not take
action to approve or deny such applications and, instead, allows them to be deemed approved
pursuant to state law.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the 'Common Council of the City of
Rochester that the City will take no action approving or disapproving the Pawn America
Minnesota, LLC, request for a Currency Exchange License.
