RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the City has received a petition signed by downtown property owners calling
for the establishment of a Special Service District; and,
WHEREAS, the petition was submitted to the City pursuant to Minnesota Statutes
Section 428A.08; and,
WHEREAS, Minnesota Statutes Section 428A.02, subd. 1 requires a public hearing to
consider a petition calling for the establishment of a Special Service District.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of
Rochester that a public hearing be established for March 23, 2009, at 7:00 p.m., in the
Council/Board Room of the Government Center for the purpose of considering the petition
calling for the establishment of a Special Service District.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that notice of this public hearing be given by publication in
at least two issues of the City's official newspaper. The two publications must be two weeks
apart and-the last publication must occur at least three days prior to the date of the hearing.
