RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, pursuant to a resolution passed by the Common Council on the 6th day of April,
2009 the City Engineer(consulting engineer retained for the purpose) has prepared plans and
specifications and has submitted the same to the Common Council for its approval for the following
improvement(s): Project No. M9-03 (J-4642) "2009 Replacement and Repair of Public Sidewalks
at Various Locations Within the City of Rochester,Minnesota".
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of Rochester,
Minnesota:
(1) Such plans and specifications, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof,
are hereby approved.
(2)The City Cleric shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official paper and in the
Construction Bulletin an advertisement for bids on the construction of said improvement(s)pursuant
to said approved plans and specifications. The advertisement shall be published as required by law,
shall specify the work to be done, and shall state that the bids will be received and opened in the office
of the City Clerk in the City Hall, in said City, at 11:00 A.M. on May 13, 2009, and shall be
considered by the Common Council at 7:00 P.M. on May 18, 2009 in the Common Council Chambers
in the City Hall, in said City, and that no bids will be considered unless sealed and timely filed with the
City Clerk and accompanied by a bid bond, cashier's check or certified check payable to the City of
Rochester for 5 percent of the amount of such bid.

MINNESOTA, THIS 6th DAY OF APRIL, 2009.
