HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 148-09 • RESOLUTION WHEREAS, the City of Rochester is the legal sponsor for the project contained in the Contamination Cleanup Grant and Revolving Loan Fund Application submitted on May 1, 2009, and Mayor Ardell F. Brede and City Clerk Judy Scherr are authorized to apply to the Department of Employment and Economic Development for the funding of this project on behalf of the City of Rochester; and, WHEREAS, the City of Rochester has the legal authority to apply for financial assistance and the institutional, managerial and financial capability to ensure adequate project administration; and, WHEREAS, the City of Rochester has the sources and amounts of the local match identified in the application, which are committed to the project identified; and, WHEREAS, upon approval of its application by the state, the City of Rochester may enter into an agreement with the State of Minnesota for the above-referenced project, and the City of Rochester will certify that it will comply with all applicable laws and regulations as stated in all •contract agreements. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of Rochester, Minnesota, that the City authorize Mayor Ardell F. Brede and City Clerk Judy Scherr, or their successors in office, to execute such agreements and amendments thereto as are necessary to implement the project on behalf of the City of Rochester.
