RESOLUTION
BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of Rochester that the Common
Council concurs in the resolution of the Rochester Public Utility Board appended hereto, which
resolution requests approval for the City of Rochester to acquire certain interests in real property,
in the area of the proposed Westside 161 kV transmission line project, defined by the route
permit (Docket No. E299/TL-07-1366) issued by the Minnesota Public Utilities Commission.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Common Council concurs with the attached
resolution authorizing the City Attorney to initiate, in the name of the City of Rochester,
appropriate eminent domain proceedings pursuant to Minnesota Statutes Chapter 117, including
the use of the 90-day"Quick Take" proceeding.
The Mayor and the City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute said agreements on
behalf of the City.
