WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the following improvement(s): 2023 West Zumbro Sanitary Sewer Extension to Serve Sanitary Sewer Area 6G - Project No. J7773, the following bids were received complying with the advertisement: Elcor Construction, Inc. $1,988,838 Edge Contracting, Inc. $2,397,561.50 Heselton Construction $2,554,063 Ims Contracting, LLC. $2,580,182 A-1 Excavating, Inc. $3,121,681 Veit & Company, Inc. $3,509,683; and WHEREAS, it appears that Elcor Construction, Inc. is the lowest responsive and responsible bidder. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of Rochester, Minnesota, that the bid of $1,988,838 is hereby accepted and execution of the standard City contract for construction with Elcor Construction, Inc., is authorized for the following approved local improvements: 2023 West Zumbro Sanitary Sewer Extension to Serve Sanitary Sewer Area 6G - Project No. J7773; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk is directed to return to all bidders the deposits made with their bids, except the deposits of the successful bidder and the next lowest bidder, which shall be retained until the contract has been executed; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the bidder shall execute all contracts within ten days after the contract is ready for their signature, and if not executed by them in said time, they shall be deemed to have abandoned the same.
