RESOLUTION
BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of Rochester that the City approve
a meet and confer agreement with the department heads for the year 2004 concerning their
employment for City of Rochester as follows:
1. A 2% increase in base pay with 'a corresponding adjustment to the pay
ranges, effective January 1, 2005.
2. A pay-for-performance increase of 0 - 3% dependent upon an evaluation of
their performance on their anniversary date.
3. Personal leave days depending upon their length of employment with the
City (28 hours for 0-3 years of service, 36 hours for 3-5 years of service and
48 hours for 5 years or more of service). This leave is paid time off and
may be taken at the department head's discretion. Personal leave must be
taken in the year earned and must not be carried over into a subsequent
year.
• 4. The City will assume all or a part of an employee's share of his or her health
or dental insurance premium if that employee is subject to a state-imposed
or city-imposed salary cap. This benefit shall be extended to those who are
now, or in the future may be, affected by such salary cap. This benefit shall
be adjusted if and when the salary cap is changed and the .employee's
salary is reinstated to that amount authorized by the City Council
