HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 100-05 F RESOLUTION WHEREAS, Morris Hills North, LLC,_ identified wetlands located on property east of Highway 63, west of Stonehedge and Century High School, and north of East Circle Drive. The applicant seeks to fill 0.17 acres of Type 2 wetland located on the property for the construction of Morris Hills North Subdivision. The two wetlands are sidehill Decorah edge related wetlands. One wetland is proposed to be filled (0.11 acres) due to the location of streets and related residential lots. The wetland is apart of a street right-of-way and residential lots, and will be affected by the grading for the street and the lots; and, WHEREAS, the applicant proposes direct replacement adjacent to the Stonehedge calcareous fen wetland immediately east of the Morris Hills plat through a combination of creation of new wetland, credit for vegetation restoration in two parts of the Stonehedge calcareous fen and an upland buffer. The total wetland replacement is at a 2:1 replacement do and will be 0.22 acres; and, WHEREAS, the Technical Evaluation Panel met and recommended approval of the application subject to the following condition: 1. The applicant must provide a Declaration of Restrictions and Covenants for Replacement Wetland document covering the replacement area as required by the wetland rules. The applicant should use the standard form provided by the BWSR. -NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of Rochester that the City approve the Wetland Replacement Plan presented by Morris Hills North, LLC, subject to the above condition. The Mayor and the City Clerk are authorized and directed to approve this plan on behalf the City.
