• RESOLUTION
WHEREAS,pursuant to a resolution passed by the Common Council on the 18th day of July,
2005 the City Engineer(consulting engineer retained for the purpose)has prepared plans and
specifications and has submitted the same to the Common Council for its approval for the following
improvement(s): Project No.M2-36 (J-7209) "Downtown Alley Improvements for Alleys East of
Broadway between Center Street and Third Street SE" and Project No. M4-31 (J-7727)
"Downtown Alley Improvements for Alley behind the Galleria between Second Street SW and
the Peace Plaza".
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of Rochester,
Minnesota: I
(1) Such plans and specifications, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof,
are hereby approved.
(2)The City Clerk shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official paper and in the
Constructon Bulletin an advertisement for bids on the construction of said improvement(s)pursuant
to said approved plans and specifications. The advertisement shall be published as required by law,
shall specify the work to be done, and shall state that the bids will be received and opened in the office
of the City'Clerk in the City Hall, in said City, at 11:00 A.M. on August 10, 2005, and shall be
considered by the Common Council at 7:00 P.M. on August 15, 2005 in the Common Council
• Chambers in the City Hall, in said City, and that no bids will be considered unless sealed and filed with
the City Clerk and accompanied by a bid bond, cashier's check or certified check payable to the Mayor
of said City for 10 percent of the amount of such bid.
