HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 527-05 • RESOLUTION WHEREAS, Platinum Development has proposed the filling of 0.35 acres of Type 2 wetland on property located south of Eastwood Road and also on the Eastwood Golf Course for the Rochester Towne Center Development. The ten wetlands area series of side hill Decorah Edge-related wetlands. Five of the we are proposed to be filled, in total or in part, due to the location of new streets, golf course development and stormwater facilities. Avoidance of all of the wetlands is not feasible due to the configuration and location of the wetland and topography. The applicant proposes off-site replacement in a wetland bank in Olmsted County. The total wetland replacement is at a 2:1 replacement ratio and will be 0.7 acres; and, WHEREAS, the Technical Evaluation Panel (TEP) reviewed the application and recommended approval; and, WHEREAS, this matter came before the City of Rochester Common Council on October • 17, 2005, for a final decision on the replacement plan. The Council gave all interested parties an opportunity to be heard on this matter and considered all information presented to it including that information found within the Council Agenda packet. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of Rochester that the City approve the Wetland Delineation and Replacement Plan presented by Platinum Development for tile Rochester Towne Center Development. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this approval is subject to the following condition: 1. The applicant must complete the purchase of wetland credits and provide a copy of the final BVVSR approval of the wetland bank purchase.
