Home My WebLink AboutResolution No. 205-06 0 Form 7 RESOLUTION • WHEREAS,pursuant to an advertisement for bids for,'the following improvement(s): Project No.M5-30, J7745, "Extend Sanitary Sewer from the REA Sub-trunkline to Rochester Towne Club.Development,Upgarde REA Sub-trunkline Sanitary Sewer, and Drainage Improvemsnt from the TH 14 East to Stormwater Pond EP- 16".bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law, and the following bids were received complying with , the advertisement: Road Constructors 255,795.10 Hodgman Drainage 262,223.25 Elcor Construction 275,473.50 McHugh Excavating 283,461.05 Blitz Construction 297,432.25 Winona Excavating 306,658.75 Winona Mechanical 305,092.00 S`yenke Company 313,685.00 A-1 Excavating 338,309.00 and, WHEREAS, it appears that Road Constructors of Rochester,Minnsota is the lowest responsive and responsible bidder. NOW THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of Rochester,Minnesota: (1)That the bid of$225,795.10 is hereby accepted and the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute the standard City contract for construction with Road Constructors of Rochester,Minnsota in the name of the City of Rochester for the following local improvement(s): Project No.M5-30,J7745, according to the plans.and specifications therefore approved by the Common Council and on file in the office of the City Clerk. (2)The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the next lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been executed. All contracts shall be executed by the bidder within ten days after the contract is ready for his signature, and if not executed by him in said time,he shall be deemed to have abandoned the same.
