RESOLUTION
• WHEREAS,pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the following improvement(s): Project No. SWM-7-06
(J-6557, "Storm Sewer Reconstruction at the intersection of 23 d Ave. SE and Pinewood Road SE" bids were
received, opened and tabulated according to law,and the following bids were received complying with the
advertisement:
Blitz Construction $17,722.00
Swenke Co.Inc $18,095.50
Fredrich Construction,Inc. $18,165.30
Winona Mechanical $21,680.00
and,
WHEREAS,it appears that Blitz Construction of Stewartville,MN is the lowest responsive and responsible
bidder.
NOW THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of Rochester,Minnesota:
(1)That the bid of$17,722.00 is hereby accepted and the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and
directed to execute the standard City contract for construction with Blitz Construction of Stewartville,MN in the
name of the City of Rochester for the following local improvement(s): Project No. SWM-7-06 (J-6557, "Storm
Sewer Reconstruction at the intersection of 23rd Ave. SE and Pinewood Road SE" according to the plans and
specifications therefore approved by the Common Council and on file in the office of the City Clerk.
• (2)The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with
their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the next lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract
has been executed.
All contracts shall be executed by the bidder within ten days after the contract is ready for his signature, and if
not executed by him in said time,he shall be deemed to have abandoned the same.
PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROCHESTER,
MINNESOTA,THIS 16th DAY OF APRIL,2007.
