BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of Rochester that the City submit
an application for, accept any resulting award of grant funds from, act as fiscal agent and as
administrator of the grant, and execute a grant agreement with the Edward Byrne Memorial
Justice Assistance Grant Program for fiscal year 2007.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City execute a Memorandum of Understanding
with Olmsted County specifying the amount of funds that are to be distributed to each of the
units of government and the purposes for which the funds will be used.
The Mayor, City Clerk and Police Chief are authorized and directed to sign the
application, the grant agreement when approved, any amendments thereto, and any other
documents needed to implement this resolution.
