RESOLUTION
BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of Rochester that the City submit
an application for, accept any resulting award of grant funds from and execute a grant
agreement for the FY2008 Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant, with the City of
Rochester acting as the fiscal agrent for this grant.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City enter into a Memorandum of Understanding
with Olmsted County specifying the amount of the funds that are to be distributed to each of the
units of local government, and the purposes for which the funds will be used.
The Mayor, City Clerk and Police Chief are authorized and directed to sign the
application, the grant agreement when approved, any amendments thereto, the Memorandum of
Understanding and any other documents needed to implement this resolution.
PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
